NEXT EXPEDITIONS
Expeditions can be a combination of sea and river kayaking and hiking. Kayaking expeditions can be tailor made to your needs or you can join one of our pre-planned expeditions.
On expeditions we can pack our equipment and food in our kayaks and head for a destination unknown to you. You can take part in the planning of the trip!
When on expedition, we stop on deserted beaches for meals or a rest and sleep on the beach. Accommodation in guest houses on the beach can also be arranged if that is more to your liking.
We can also hike selected routes on the way or even go sailing in-between stretches of kayaking.
Our yacht based kayak expedition is a unique trip! We start off in Saldanha bay on the first day and kayak around Schaapen island where we spend the night on the yacht. Fishing and diving can be done from the yacht or kayaks. The next morning we sail for Dassen island and pass Malgas island, Marcus island and Jutten island where penguins and other seabirds breed. Whales, dolphins, seals and a lot of different birds are seen on this 5 hour sailing trip. At Dassen island we anchor in House bay and kayak along this amazing shoreline. Fishing and diving can be done here. We can cook sea food on the deck on the open fire and watch the African penguins come home in the last light. The next day we kayak some more and then sail back home. This trip can be extended.
Overland expeditions combining kayaking, hiking, sightseeing, power kite with kite buggy and a lot more can be done.
